Harvesting Herbs

This is perhaps the easiest task in the whole herb growing process.  It is the culmination of your efforts.  The time for your to reap the benefits of all your activities.  Just remember, though, that when you harvest herbs, you should do so with the idea that you are still going to do this in the future, with the same plant.  As such, never cut off more than one third of a plant at a single time.

Another thing to remember when harvesting you herbs is to give the plants enough time to re-grow before harvesting again.  This will ensure that you will have the plants around for quite some time.  More so, when cutting your plants, make sure you use sharp scissors and cut from the stems, not the leaves.  If you take care of your herbs, they will serve you faithfully for a considerable period of time.
